I have always found Mediation to be one of the best and most important steps in the process of a Legal Matter. I feel Mediation is where the clients have control of the issues at hand. When the clients are making the rules or decisions, it tends to be much more likely that the clients will both follow these agreements. Although the process is very difficult, the parties involved still have control over the outcome themselves.

Generally I have discovered that when both parties have control of decisions and agreements being made amongst themselves, the parties are more likely to honour to the agreement rather than having a Judge make the decisions for them if possible. Mediation is a difficult process for all involved but I feel is very helpful for the parties to move forward with an agreement they are both satisfied with much faster than navigating through the legal system.

I became a licenced Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario in 2015. As a Paralegal I have focused on Small Claims and Landlord/ Tenant Issues. I am happy to work with clients on Mediations in these areas as well.

In 2021 I completed the Family Mediation Certificate Program at York University and have been accredited since July 2023.
