New Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance Now Available to OAFM Members

OAFM’s board conducted a comprehensive review of the E&O insurance available to the OAFM members. OAFM used the following criteria for review and selection of the insurance:

  1. OAFM Members need better Value. They required better coverage at a competitive price
  2. The E&O Insurance should be available for the services provided by the OAFM members
  3. The broker should have sufficient capacity to effectively service OAFM members in a timely manner.
  4. Broker should have experience in managing and administering professional liability programs
  5. Broker should have access to a multiple array of insurance carriers that specialize in professional liability insurance in Canada.
  6. Broker should be able to provide value added service to OAFM member by providing E&O education and additional insurance products to supplement their needs, and at preferred pricing.

After a comprehensive search, the OAFM board is pleased to announce the selection of LMS PROLINK insurance broker because of the following reasons:

  1. LMS PROLINK (LMS) has over 20 years of experience in managing, administering and marketing professional liability programs to associations. Currently LMS PROLINK has over 40 customized insurance programs on a provincial and national level.
  2. LMS has capability to provide timely service to OAFM members via its dedicated large staff. LMS is also technology driven, with capacity for OAFM members to apply online, as well as give OAFM members 24 hours, 7 days access to their own web portal where they can download applications, make payments, or obtain educational material.
  3. Through LMS, OAFM board has selected Encon Group Inc. Encon offered a better product at a competitive price. Encon was able to provide E&O insurance coverage for the spectrum of services provided by OAFM members under the family ADR field. Encon is also able to insure Commercial General Liability (CGL) when a member owns/operates their own facility. This is also offered at a competitive price.
  4. LMS is a full service broker. Thus, OAFM members will have access to other value added insurance services and products at competitive rates for Group/Health/Life as well as personal home/auto insurance.
